How did you become involved with High Horses? We were living in Hawaii for a couple of years and looking to move back to the mainland. I began the search for job opportunities in New England and came across High Horses. Coming from a non-profit background and an admiration for horses, it was an instant yes!

What are your current or previous career highlights? I successfully opened and operated a restaurant and food truck with my dad in Denver for 5+ years. I also currently own and run a wedding calligraphy and design business servicing the New England area.
What impact do you see with equine-assisted services? It’s so transformative! I’m grateful that I get to witness the positive changes our clients go through on a daily basis, but I also see how the human-horse bond affects our volunteers, staff members, donors, and anyone who steps foot on our farm.
Did you grow up around horses? Do you currently have horses? I did not grow up around horses and now live vicariously through close friends.
Where did you grow up? I am from Colorado and recently moved to Vermont in 2023.
What are some of your favorite non-horse or therapy-related hobbies? I like to read cookbooks and try new recipes, host gatherings, do anything outdoor-adventure related with my boyfriend and dogs, and I just recently learned to knit!
If a horse from High Horses could speak, who are they and what would they say? Bentley would ask me to take him on a lush trail ride!
